This is our initial consultation. During this call we aim to learn about you and your business. We finish the call with a scope of work, any objectives and / or goals you may have, budget and timeline.
We compile an initial sitemap inspired by your brief and current website (if applicable). This sitemap provides an understanding of the scale and complexity of your project. Our clients enjoy being able to visualise site structure and user journeys at this early stage.
We send you our tailored proposal which includes the sitemap, scope of work, timeline, and cost. In addition to this, your proposal will provide further information on vital aspects of websites, such as hosting, security, SEO, and content management system (CMS) editing.
Once you have approved the proposal, scope of work, and quote we will raise an invoice for the project's deposit (50%). Visit our FAQ page for more information on how we bill for our work.
This is the projects kick off call and our main focus will be research for the design stage - but we will cover all aspects of the project, including handover of brand assets (e.g. logos).
We supply you with our discovery questionnaire. Your answers help our team a greater understanding of topics like company and website goals, competitors, websites you do and don't like, and much more.
We work with you to define the website's target market in addition to user profiling. Both activities help us design and build web experiences suited to the different personalities using the website - your existing and potential customers.
Once we’ve completed discovery, we build the content map. What content you’ll have and where it’s going to go. We use a tool called Flowmap to create the site maps and content maps. This map will serve as wireframes to what pages, sections, elements and content your website will feature.
Building on the foundations laid in the scoping and discovery stages, we use Adobe XD to design your new homepage (or key template) from scratch. Once the homepage design has been reviewed and approved, it serves as the creative direction for the key page designs.
Our designers then roll out the creative direction (layout, style, and elements) across the rest of the key pages using your content, or if that's not ready, targeted placeholder content. All designs adhere to UX and UI best practices and will conform to any accessibility guidelines you need us to meet.
We will schedule a meeting to present the designs to you. You'll need some time to review the designs, so we'll provide you with a link to view them online. After collating feedback from your team we meet again to discuss any changes required.
Once the designs are approved, we move into the build stage.
During the scoping stage, we may have identified functionality that requires custom development. This could be custom API integrations, adding membership functionality, MailChimp, custom forms, Typeform etc.
